Last night I took my car out for a test drive and noticed that the loose battery clamp I had was acting up again. The headlights and interior lights would dim and flicker a bit while at idle or driving. They did not completely stop working as far as I know though and I got home, tightened the clamp back up, and parked it. It was at this time I noticed that a few minutes after I turned my alarm on it would beeb twice again by its self as if I turned it off, but my power locks did not unlock the doors so I wasn't too concerned and figured it had to do with the loose ground wire.
Today I started up the car and my headlights would not work. My running lights and tailights are fine though. The old clamp was broken and we could not tighten it or remove it so we cut the clamp off and installed a new one on the ground wire to the battery (the left terminal looking at the car from the front) we did not hook up the smaller secondary ground again. The headlights still would not work. Did something work its way loose or get fried from poor ground or what? The only thing I can think off is that a tool or two fell in by the headlights when we were working and might of pulled a wire out on its way down? Or is there another small wire we missed on the battery?
