Looks like a lot of good progress, thanks for continuing to resurrect these things like the 442 as well. Not many people go to that extent, but seeing pictures like you have taken help people like me who aren't so well equipped (driveway workshop). I envy people who can restore cars so fast and do so well. If I rush things like bodywork I'm never satisfied.

I never believed it.....but it's in the finishing mostly...the wet sanding technique blocking tools and compounds used. Yes...it does help if you have an Anest Iwata Supernova for saving the time on layout conditions....but if you sand 10 minutes versus 2 hours the results should be nearly the same. This recent picture of this fender looks bad compared to the passenger fender which was blocked correctly. It is a flat mirror black finish that doesn't wave it's reflection of objects at all.

Added new champion valve cover too. This was a complete b*tch to do in bay, been much easier on the stand
