newly rebuilt 307 and carb, not the original engine but it has the correct heads and vin 9 cam and lifters.Sometimes at a signal the rpms just keep going done till it dies.Sometimes it doesn't. put new TCC sensor in trans so lockup torque converter is working.AC on.It will die every time. Put a jet stage 1 chip in but it made no differencehttp://gbodyforum.com/posting ... post&f=10#

Since you've changed engines it could be something as little as avacuum leak check over everywhere, It can also be a sticky EGR. Well lucky for you we have this site and you will get so much help you will have it figured out, good luck

If ac causes it to die, check your electrical system. Make sure your plug wires are all in tight. At idle, what is the voltage readout at the batt.? How old is the dist. cap and rotor?

there should be a solenoid on the driver's side of the front of the carb with a green wire to keep the revs up at idle with the AC on and if your using the defroster the AC kicks in then too
