That Camaro rear end uses a panhard rod and a torque arm, there are no upper control arms. Ours is a typical 4 link - so, like dog said -very different.

You CAN find gears and a posi from an early 80s F body - the gears and Auburn in my car are from an '86 Trans Am. of course, the housing is the stock G body one.
 
Today I let the car run for a while just checking for leaks and other things I have also started putting it back together
