I've been posting alot of questions for rears that would fit under my Monte and i came across a Delta 88 posi rear with 3.08s in it and I know some of them came with an 8.5 inch rear. If it is 8.5 inch will it be a direct bolt on for my monte? Also iv been seeing alot of f-body rears in g-bodys and wanted to know how to use them in my monte? I read up that they are a direct bolt in and all i would have to do is make sure its a 10 bolt and if its a 28 spline, i would have to swap out the axles for GN ones...If thats the case and those are all the "steps" i need to make it work, should i just go ahead and do that?(im running a mild 454 atm)

My guess is no, but to be sure make all the measurements from all the mounting points and width of the rear.
As far as I know the only rear ends that are a direct swap for a Gbody is another Gbody rear or an aftermarket rearend designed for a Gbody, some older 12 bolts can fit but need special control arms to fit and many of those are wider requiring different rims or dealing with the tires sticking out.
Fbody rearends have a different style housing that uses a panhard bar that bolts to the rear of the trans or aftermarket ones that bolt to a crossmember.
