I have a 1985 cutlass supreme v6 3.8L I'm new to this my first ever swap I am currently looking at getting a 383 stroker small block. Will this engine fit? Is this the right engine for my cutlass? Whut type transmission will I need? Are motor mountsI have good? will I need new ones? Whut about drive shaft? Is there a lot of modifications with this engineI will have to do? Is there any engines 383 or 350 will be fine that's a direct fit with hardly any to no modifications.? I will post pics of engine specs. Any feedback will be appreciated.

First off, with any g body that has a 3.8, a Buick 350 swap should be considered. They're good motors, 150lbs lighter in all IRON trim than a SBC, mounts are the same, all front accessories are the same, water pump, timing cover, brackets, everything. Trans will bolt up (although you probably have a 200 metric which is sh*t.). IF you want a SBC that bad, you'll need different mounts frame and to the motor. You'll need to relocate fuel lines, some wiring, and you'll need a CHEVY th350 or a 200r4 if you want a higher (numerically like 3.73 or 3.42) rear gear. You should have factory highway gears, 2.xx so a th350 would be fine as a place holder. Drops right in, no mods needed. Driveshaft can stay, no mods. beware, if you do go with buick 350 (which again is the best option as far as ease of installation goes, pull v6/th200metric, insert 350 and th350) the only place to get parts is TA Performance from Arizona. Good people, good service. Top shelf stuff. Everything you could possibly need. Hope this helps.
