I bought this truck off of the original LADY owner with 91,000 all original low km's...not miles...km;s!! The truck looked pretty damn good when I was looking at it in the ladies driveway, I think because it had low mileage and the lady was nice and we just clicked when we talked you know what I mean. I bought it and had CAA bring it home. Once I had a really good look at it in my driveway, I realized that it needed a bit more rust repair than I remember it looking like in the driveway of the nice lady. Both inner and outer fenders, both driver and passenger doors, both rockers, both cab corners lol, so yup, it needed alot of work. All that being said, the frame is awesome, the bed has only held a travel trailer, so it's in really clean shape. Here are a few pictures of when I brought it home. My dad had the same color and year truck when I was a teenager and I have some great memories of dad and me in that truck. When I first saw the truck on kijiji, it brought me back to dad and me and that pickup truck. It was a pretty easy purchase. The hard part..and the fun part is fixing that bad boy back to new condition. It has a 305 engine that runs like a million bucks too lol. The plan is to do a suspension lift, nothing crazy, just enough.

looks pretty good. That body style always needs work in the areas mentioned. However repro parts are cheap and plentiful. And the drivetrain is pretty solid. Should be one of the first years for the 700r

I found all the parts needed on kijiji for a few hundred bucks, I installed everything other than the parts that need to welded in place, having a heck of a time trying to line everything up before I send it to the paint shop.

the truck looks good ...that body style , no all gm trucks have the same issues..look at 10 year old ones i am shocked at the rocker panels on them.

yes i do own a 95 K2500 which i love it's a great truck , i do oil spray it yearly it's in very good shape , But I fight the same demons of rust.

always wanted to do a lift on mine.......one day

enjoy the truck and the memories .

Parts are plentiful and fairly cheap. I will post pictures after its painted.

Nice find. Years ago, I owned a '77 Blazer 4X4, then later on, a '78 GMC 1500 pickup 2WD. They're great trucks, but you do have to watch for rust issues. As everyone has pointed out, parts can still be had without too much difficulty.

Hi There, yeh the fenders and doors were pretty rusty...now my truck reminds me of the partridge family bus...multi colored 🙂 Until I get it painted
