Hey Guys,

Curious as to what people think my car might be worth to a serious buyer who appreciates this car. 100% original survivor in flawless condition. Garaged in heated cement floor since day 1 where I found it. I bought from original owner who had not driven it since 1992. From 1985 to 1992 it went only 2211 KMS (1373 miles). It is fully documented from GM Canada as well as the original owner who bought this car from my father brand new in 1985. Car was ordered as a hard top in Maroon with a Grey Bench Seat Column Shift Interior. Inside is 100% perfect and ALL original. The engine compartment is original and near perfect. The undercarriage which was undercoated is like new! perfect. All fluids have been changed and I had to re-core the original radiator (kept the original core) due to the car sitting for a very long time. I have the original GM oil filter as we changed the oil, trans filter kit (yes even kept the filter too as it was the original). We replaced the rear end fluid, coolant was also flushed and new and it has had a brake system flush. Fired it up about a few years of sitting. It still wears its original eagle gt tires. There has been no paint work, no paint damage etc. No rust or rot present, this car is like it was when it drove off the show room floor in 1985! Hard pressed to find many like this. Question is if listing in the US for sale what is a fair price for such a rare find? I am an oldsmobile guy so the chev market is abit unknown to me.

Any Thoughts as to going market for such a car? I can seem to find much to compare to I see cars with 20K miles but not much with 4 digit mileage!

Why don't you check the values on NADA, Hagerty, Hemmings, etc. I think that would be a good start.

Askin advice on whats a item worth on a forum is not a good idea. Also trying to judge a value from ebay or craigslist posting is just as bad. Because the true value of anything is what someone will pay. And every case is different. Some forums wont even allow questions or post like this. So since this car will not appeal to anyone at all just send me your address and I will gladly take thiz worthless car off your hands. Mind you I am only doing so because of the pain you are obviously in.

Wow what a find.keep it and wait another 15years and then sell it. The economy the world is in will not get you what this car is truly worth. Do yourself a big favor and wait. I see cars that cost 100 grand to restore going for 25 grand. Houses goin for one third of the value because no one wants them. Its just bad. Very beautiful car and I am very jealous.

This.......along with what you are willing to accept and how quickly you want to move it of course plays a factor. The car will only increase in value so long as it's taken care of.

It's really not worth anything serious yet. Put the cover back on and do another review in 5 years, or 10. Some maintenance will have to be done occasionally such as running it a few times and re-doing the fluids (rear end) obviously. A serious collector would pay serious money for that - in a better economy than now.

Get someone to insure the ^#@ out of it, like to the tune of $50K or better, just in case. Maybe hire an actual collector car appraiser, or two. (You might need to do that for the insurance part anyway.) It probably won't be cheap for a "good" one. There likely isn't a lot of precedent for these cars in that condition. Who knows, they might be able to hook you up with an auction house that deals specifically with this type of thing. The market is still down from where it was pre-'08, but I think its just starting to pick up again. Maybe.

If it were me, I'd also go over that thing with a camera, and document everything. How its put together, any factory paint/chalk markings under the hood or underneath the car, color and placement of bolts/fasteners/clips/lines/wires/etc. ... again, because you won't get the chance again. I don't know if there's a "concours" segment of this market yet, but they eat that up.

I'm sure there's a collector in Dubai or Singapore or somewhere just waiting to add it to his "vault" where it would never see the light of day again.

(and get me some more pix for the other site! 😱😀🙄:worthless:)
