1986 monte carlo dash speaker install

i don't remember what speakers i put in the elky but i had the same problem what i did was gently bang the underside of the grill to [ dome ] it then used a small grinder on the underside of the grill to shave some away till it fit i had 4 grills only broke 1

When I had my '84 Cutlass, I put in a pair of Infinity 2-ways up front. I still have them, but I'd rather sell them along with an aftermarket Audiovox stereo I have. Fit perfectly underneath the grilles. You'll search a long time to find replacement grilles & probably have to paint them if you make a mistake with yours.
To note, I put these speakers in back in the 90s so who knows if they're still available.
Have you looked around to see what else is out there? Maybe you can return these if you find something. But check around first.
