My brother has this car and has put a new battery, alternator and starter in. There is no power to the fuse block, but this car has head lights, tail lights, and cigarette lighter. When the starter was replaced the hotwire or positive battery wire was touched to metal. Wondering if this could have shorted a wire or if something else may have blown as well?

Thank you very much for the information. That was one of the things we looked at was the fuseable link. Is there more than one on that wire string? The fusable link is getting power before and after.
