i have an 86 regal that i just changed the battery out in and my instrument cluster switched from standard measure to metric. how on earth do i change it back?

what do you mean it switched??? Is it a g body? Or a FWD regal? Just wondering about the digital cluster.

it is a g body

it is a g body 1986 regal limited and it has a digital cluster. this is the first one i saw in a regal not being a grand national or gnx my self

digital guage cluster

so I'm guessing no one knows how to set it back. i feel like the teacher from ferris beulers day off. anybody
anybody
anybody

Sorry, I can't help ya' , I've never seen a factory digital cluster in any G. Someone out there should be able to help ya'. Do you got any pictures?

you may want to ask this question on the turbo buick sites, since the digital dash was only available on the 86 buick, i've seen most of them on the t-types with either SBC or turbo motor

the reset button has two functions...push to reset the trip odometer and turn it to set the readout to be in metric or standard...

oh and I aint that smart.....I googled it...

thank you for the help

i had already googled and thats how i found this site filled with people that are g body fans on the same level that i am. i searched further and did find the answer earlier today. so i rushed home during lunch and tried it real fast and it did not turn when you push the button in. BUT if you push it 1/2 way in it turns in order to switch it back to standard measure.

so thank you all so much for the help! i was starting to feel like mr. bean driving with kilometers on the speedo! i was thinking i was going to switch to after market gauges and spend a bunch of money which was cool with me but my wife was pissed L.O.L
