I like the 87/88 Cutlass grill & fascia treatment. I think those are the only years for that look, am I correct? Also, will those parts bolt into an earlier [say 83 - 84 - 85] model? What else would be required to attain a 87/88 model look.

Thanks

Correct, 87 and 88 only, Called Euro style because of the Euro Headlamps.
They should all bolt on, you need the whole thing except the chrome bumper.
YOu will have to change your sockets to incorprate the 9004 type headlamp bulbs.
Thats it, everything else is the same.

They are very popular, and expensive because they are so popular.

Here are some links to some on ebag:

Check out the prices on those.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. Now I know what to be on the lookout for. Also, is that the main appearance difference between 87/88 and on back to 83 or so? [external body appearance, not considering interior or trim levels]

And as a side note, I noticed each of the EBayers listed have a less than perfect feedback. I sell on EBay and have 56 - 100% rating and know all it takes to have a 100% rating is tell the truth and ship the parts as described. So far, I have only bought from others with a 100% rating and all has been as expected.

Everything else on the outside is the same and bolts up 81-88. Now in the rear there are some VERY slight cosmetics like:
The back-up lamps from 81-83 (I think) have a red reflector in them, 84 up doesn't. 81-83 tail lamps have a ridge running vetical in the middle of the tail lamp and there is a center emblem on the 84 to 87 taillamp that changes apperance slightly in 86 timeframe. Again very minor and they all bolt up with no problems.
That is the one great thing about these cars is the wide range of years of usage available.

1987 Cutlass Front Bumper Covers

I have two bumper covers for an 1987 Cutlass / 442. One is a brand new GM orignal and the second one is off my car before restoring it. Both are in excellent shape and I am will to part with one or both of them.
