joe,
I saved that link, thanks! may get my paint for the olds there before long, as that one is closer to finish that the regal. I really have been thinking about going a shade of red, but am still leaning towards a dk grey, and they have a few different options I may go. make sure you post pics of the paint process!

Thanks. I'm in the same process now with the cutlass & the hurst olds parts. I basically found all the hurst goodies, bits & pieces here & there but they all needed quite a bit of body work. I'm sure you'll be satisfied & I can't wait to see after pics of the car. There are a few things I could've done better on the truck that I will do better on the olds. I'm sanding the body filler all the way down to 320 grit & I will be wet sanding the car with 600 or 800 grit. I did take autobody when I was in high school, so that helps a lot. Not something I'd wanna do for a living, but I enjoy doing my own stuff. I hope you received the parts I sent & that you were satisfied. I will keep an eye out for the other shifter bracket u need. Gonna go to a pick & pull this weekend if weather is ok. Might not find a thing, but last week I scored a set of factory vinyl bucket seats @ one.

Thanks Evan! Yep, I received those parts yesterday and they'll do just fine. I'm just gradually collecting parts for the floor shift swap. It's probably something that won't happen for a year or so. All I have for it as of now are the parts you sent me, the shifter itself, the shifter cable, the floor brackets a a console that's kinda beat up that I doubt I'm gonna use. My goals for this car for this summer are to have it painted and (mostly) put back together, and get some sort of header-true-dual exhaust system on it.

I still think it's awesome you have TWO G-Body project cars to work on now! My parents would kick me out if I dragged another one home, lol (I almost have a couple times :shock🙂! But yeah the people there explained everything to me thoroughly; my knowledge on paint is limited, whereas most of my knowledge is in welding and filler-work. They were very honest and I'd highly recommend them.

Paint came today from Smart Shoppers Inc. I haven't cracked open the color can yet, but as soon as I do I'll put a picture up. Stay tuned!

Decided to battle the cold today and install the manual window regulators that 1evilregal gave to me. Was a relatively easy swap thanks to the How-To thread by 1evilregal. They work great and it is nice to be able to get my windows up and down without having the car running. Thanks for all the help with the swap Darin, much appreciated!

Haha, had it not been for that how-to thread you did, I'd have a hot, disassembled mess on my hands! If you want/need my old regulators or motors they are yours, they still work fine, motors are just a tad slow.

I already have power regs and motors in, thanks though... if you find someone else that can use them, pass them on!

Will do Darin, I gotta pass the favor on. If anyone can put these to good use in their car, they are yours, just pay shipping.

Opened the paint can up today to see what my color actually looks like. I really like it. I think it ought to look really nice on my car. Here's a picture-

Been kicking some bodywork-*ss lately. Got passenger and driver side A and B pillars (mostly) smooth, still could use a really thin skim coat, but 95% done with them. Also got the spot on the drivers side quarter 95% smooth, still needs primed but it is smooth. I got all the little rust spots on the hood sanded off and ready for primer too.

Before paint, I still have to
-clean some rust from inside the rear wheel well lips
-clean up some rust inside driver and passenger door jambs and seam seal
-seam seal drip rails and inside trunk
-few other things I can't think of off the top of my head, but nothing too big.

I got door and truck lock gaskets and mirror gaskets from GBP, I paid a little more than I would have like to but I needed the parts, so... :? I also got new chrome door handles from Rockauto today. Stay tuned, paint coming soon, no major updates right now but there will be soon.
