Curious as to what will be the value of a 2017 Minivan or any of the current 'muscle' cars in 2047?

These auctions can get crazy especially when you get a couple guys with more money than sense that just refuse to lose. There was a bare bones '70 Camaro [not Z28, SS, nothing] with a pretty radical protouring mod setup sold for $150K recently on BJ or Mecum. Nuts!

Picking up a GNX with 68 miles as an investment . . . certainly. $220K? Hard to picture how that is going to work out for the better?

Right, because why live in the moment and have fun? I have almost 200,000 kms on my TBSS - I am not worried about its potential monetary value as a "collectors" item.

Ed said "It's sad people don't appreciate what a car is for." Everyone uses cars for their needs and once that need use goes outside our comfort zone it's wrong. I'm a racer and although I left my car pretty stock, I have people tell me I ruined a good car. Most of the high end bidders at these auctions are there for museums and private collectors and there are some that are playing this market like the stock market. Supply and demand dictate where the prices go. I have a 1984 Mustang GT 5 spd turbo convertible - only 731 made and mine is one of one on color so far the demand isn't there, be lucky to get $5000.00
