What are some pro's, and con's with doing this swap?

I've heard only good. They keep the suspension "geometry" the same, so essentially everything operates in exactly the same way as far as the springs and shocks, and your overall suspension travel. its just that the spindle is located in a different place, obviously to lower rideheight. 8)

Where is a good place to get the spindles?

eBay has some for a good price. Look at s10 drop spindles they are normally cheaper for some reason and are the same for g bodys

Mid 1980's s10?

Yes 82-92 s10.

Dang really that's a good deal

i had a set on my regal back in the day with some 14" cragar ss deep dishs. form what i remember is they caused the wheels to hit the wheel wells when i hit big bumps. it could have been the wheels but to me a set of springs is the better option
