So this is the top of the GP tank so imThe "GN" style as sold by Spectra is still way too short at about 3.5"

The efi sender would have a return on it. The one pictured looks like the typical carbureted sender. So this is the top of the GP tank so im
Assuming it’s not EFI and probably the same as my original cutlass one. Next question is because of that can I just use my cutlass tank with a racetronix drop in? Or is the baffle in that tank not high enough
Okay this helps me tremendously!! I’ll end up with a GN repop with my neck. Then decide if I what to do the Racetronix or build my own with what I already have.Yeah that's a carb sender on the GP tank.
No doubt the aftermarket tank baffling are substandard to OEM GM but ya gotta run with the legs ya got.
I drag and drive both my 2+2 and cutlass with repop tanks with the small baffles and just run the tank over 50% at the track. I haven't had a fuel starvation issue. Maybe at a road course it could but on the track and street it has been fine. I've converted 3 carb style G bodies to EFI and never had a fuel starvation issue. Your milage may vary on your tank level and driving style.
My recommendation is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS run an OEM fuel filler neck. The aftermarket necks are notorious for having issues during fuel fill, get bent in shipping and are in the wrong spot often.
-OEM EFI tank is best but unobtainable, repop GN tank baffling is better than a stock carb tank without baffles
-A GN tank repop filler neck will be in the wrong spot anyway on an Olds. Hence why swapping the neck is the really only option unless you have a Buick or Monte which has a factory EFI option
-Racetronix hat is fine, stock style repop is fine too if you upgrade the wiring. I saved over $150 buying my own spectra repop hanger, a Wally 525 pump, replaced the wiring passthrough with the Racetronix part and added 37 degree thread on fittings to the feed and return by cutting the barbs off. If you don't have a crimper or want to BS around with DIY buying the racetronix one is fine. Multiple ways to skin a cat there, do you value your time or money more.
