is the 200-4r trans in a 87 limited regal a computer controlled trans, i was thinking about removing the brain and cleaning up the wires going thru the fire wall, i noticed a plug on the trans and was wondering if i needed it at all..

It's not computer controlled. The plug going into it is for the lock-up convertor, which I would keep.
I think he meant computer controled like a 4l60e, but ya I prolly should have explained myself better 🙂

ok i found something on here from bowtie overdrives, with a relay circut..just doing an engine swap and rerouting the harness will that damage anything? is there a specific wire or wires i would need to make sure i have connected so i dont ruin the trans, ill just plug the computer back in and re rout the harnesses..i know i can trace the wires coming off the trans to a loom but get lost from there..
