Like the title says, i'm having an issue with my 2004r. It's the one I put in my Chevette. I drove it home from work the other day, shut it down for an hour or so, went back out and I have no gears. No reverse or drive gears, nothing. I verified my linkage didn't come off so I dropped the pan. Internal linkage looks fine. I can see it moving the piston in the valve body when the linkage is moved. Nothing looked out of place so I tossed the pan back on and refilled. Big shock here, but it didn't fix itself lol. Any ideas?

Is it making any noise at all?

Similar situation happen to a friend of mine. End up being the front pump blew.

Not a peep. Im thinking it may be a possibility though. After filling it with almost all the fluid I drained out it still shows high on the dipstick after running it. Kinda like it isn't getting pumped back in.

with the engine off make a trans dipstick reading. Then start the engine and make another dipstick reading. If the pump is pumping the level should change.
