Hey everyone. I'm putting my lockup on a switch because i no longer have a ecu. My question do I need power to all three wires from the trans plug or if I leave the wire out for the fourth gear switch if I read correct then I could lock in 3rd and 4th. Correct me if wrong I'm putting the switch in as I type this. After market auto lock kits are not an option thanks

From what I recall, you need to switch the NC solenoid to a NO solenoid. After that, you only need one 12v wire going to the A pin. You then just insert your toggle somewhere on that 12v wire.

Not saying your wrong but I'm thinking if the solenoid in the trans is N/O couldn't I just use it on a switch if open is regular operation with no power when I power it it would close and go into lockup? I'm thinking out loud was never a trans guy lol.

I edited my above post. I had the NO/NC mixed up. I used to know all this crap but once I got my lockup working ( I'm running the Painless system ) I kinda forgot some of the specifics!

Honestly, an internet search should find you all the info you's want on this subject quicker than anyone could answer you!

Thanks for the help I searched a few times and read everything. I like to have as much input as possible so thanks
