my buicks v6 2 bbl wont idle. it revs up when i start it from the choke but then unless i have my foot on the gas, it stalls. so far all i could come up with is that the carb might need rebuilt, or there could be vacuum leaks, which is a definately a possibility, but they shouldnt cause it to stall; just idle rough. any other ideas? are there any aftermarket carbs that'll fit my intake by either holley or edelbrock, if not, that ok, my dualjet will work, but itll need rebuilt.

the engine is bad take it out and put a buick 455!!!!!!!
on a serious not take the wires that is pluged into the carb and see if it idlesbetter. If it does it means you have a clogged jet in the carb.If the jet is clogged one way of getting it out is to rev the motorup and cover the carb when the car almost dies you remove your hand frm the carb . do that 3 or 4 times and dat should help..
