Buick 350's weren't as common up here but not long ago there was 4 for sale, two with performance parts, crazy. This came up when I looking for another Olds 350.

Put an Olds 350 in it everything you want to do is pretty straight forward...I have an Olds 350 I can part with...only thing you might need is an oil pan...$60 new or less if someone has one to get rid of...where do you live...I was going to use it in my Hurst but decided to go big block

After a lot of thought I figured I’d change the 231 in my 79 cutlass. I wanted a sbc 350 but I was told I’d need a different style transmisson and a few modifications. LS is out the window lol. So I boiled it down to an Olds 350. I’m not looking for a race car just something that’ll have more power and grunt. From my understanding a olds 350 will bolt right up to the th350 but what other parts and accessories would I need for the actual swap. Also over time I may want to build it but while I have the block out of I would like to change the internal components. Any recommendations on what paths to take, what parts could help me make the olds 350 faster. I’m still using the factory stock rear end ehatever it is I believe it’s a 2:4_ something.
What kind of carburetor setup do you have? 2 or 4 bbl?

Could also go EFI if you really want as well.

I don't think you will need different style transmissions either, since you are going BOP correct? Maybe an X member replacement, depending on what you plan on putting in it. TH-350 is nice, but the TH-400 would be an improvement also.

He probably has a TH200C or TH250C if stock. Yes, Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Olds and Cadillac share the same bell housing. Chevy is the odd duck.
