As for a suspension, I would look for something other than a C4 rear. The geometry is horrible on that thing. Likewise, I would try to find a front suspension that has decent geometry too as the C4 Vette is not known for it's good suspension design

Me too...it's considered THE suspension mod for C3 vettes

There was a 79 Malibu coupe on ebay about 5 years ago that had C3 suspension under it. As I recall, he had relatively narrow wheels/tires in the rear since the track width was wider than the G body track.
