2inch drop spindles

There are a couple of ways to get the drop you are looking for, the cheapest way is with a set of lowering or "drop" springs, another popular way is to use drop spindles, these will get you a nice consistent drop. Bell tech (spelling?) makes the spindles, and if look around they can be had used for a pretty fair price, look for them from an 82 and up to the early 2000's or at least late 90's s-10 truck, or 78-88 g-body, they are the same part number, hope this helps. Summit or jegs are probably going to be the best priced place to get the spindles new, you may try some of the truck accessory places.

I am a newbie to the " drop " thing . I had a mid to late 70's chevy truck that was dropped the ole cheapo driveway style and would put your head into the roof of the truck on railroad tracks .I traded for it that way and never tried to improve it . I want to do a 2-4 drop on my 69 chevy truck . Do they still retain most of the ride quality if dropped correctly , or is it a trade off thing ? Just curious , i know people that says they dont , but they did theirs the cheap way and feel like a go cart suspension going down the road . There are not that many in this area to really check out in person . Ones done proper that is .

I am pretty sure drop spindles are the proper way to lower a vehicle. I am not positive of this but, I was told that they do not change the geometry of the suspension like springs do.

^Yup. Put your money toward a SC&C stage 2. That will get you .75 of a drop then add some 1" drop Eibach/Hotckis/5658 Moogs springs. Then you can tweak the align specs to improve things. If you're going to call it a ProTour might as well make it handle like one. 8)
