Hello fellas,
This question is for those who have swapped a 3.8 for a 350 sbo and kept the steering pump and hose set up. Will the brackets off the sbo work on the 3.8 pump? or should I get a sbo pump and lines? Thanks!
Bill

I'd get the proper brackets and pump, I kept the 229 v6 pump on my malbu when I went sbo (pump from the donor car was shot), but it was a bit of dickin around to get it all to fit and function right (had to drill holes, and use different spacers, etc). It still sits kinda funny, but hasn't caused any problems in the least 10 years, lol.

Uh, so your saying keep the brackets from the sbo motor and use the sbo pump or .... keep the brackets and use a 3.8 pump?...sorry...im a little slow.

Whoops, sorry, that might be my fault typing in circles again, hahaha. I mean use the sbo brackets, with the sbo pump. Will be the easiest thing to do, lol.

THats what I thought...just wanted to be sure...thanks!
