BUILD THREAD 78 Malibu 350 rocket build kind of

On a street driven vehicle you want to hit 210° for a short time to burn off the moisture that accumulates in the oil and such. After that, operating near 200 is good.

For the GN "flaps" I was referring to what's basically an air box in front of the radiator, the shroud is a different part altogether. Third product down on this page, $110: https://www.gnsperformance.com/bodyframe-g-body

I've not used the Lincoln fan myself but have seen a few as well as looked into buying one. They do move a ton of air and are loud doing it.

That is true for the oil having moisture so I'll go and get a 195 stat.

So I'm guessing the air box goes infront of the radiator but behind the grille? Or does it just go into the core support and sits over top?

I seen a video guy done a LS swap.used the Lincoln fan and it was trying to fly. I looked it up it's supposed to be about 4500 CFM. I think I might the intrepid one since they're in every junkyard from here to vanglore.

Yep. I'm not sure id run the hotter thermostat until the temp doesn't ever exceed 220. You can go higher, and I've ran around 240 for a bit but it makes me nervous.

Multiple people here run the Intrepid fans and they're $100 on Amazon.

Yes, Olds made closed impeller pumps for heavy duty/AC cars. Flowkooler is the only closed impeller pumps available other than the $200 Thornton Muscle Cars pumps. Yes, nearly any of the factory fans move a lot of air. You will have to measure or do research on what fits. The GN surround isn't a fan, it is rubber flaps to direct all the air through the radiator and not around.
