Trying to put the original air conditioning and alternator back on the Lemans wagon since doing the 400 swap and I forgot how this stuff goes on! I need pics of the air conditioning and alternator areas so I can see how the brackets and bolts go on. I took this stuff off a 79 lemans 4 door at the yard and forgot to take pics before I pulled it off. 😳 Stupid, stupid, stupid! I don't really feel like playing jig-saw puzzle all day long trying to figure it out. Help would be appreciated!

Attached is the pic out my manual for the alternator and steering pump. I'll have to dig out the AC side.

It's been a while, but pretty sure everything is no going to just bolt up.

Just wanted to give you a heads up so you don't sit there scratchng your head.

I did the swap in a TA and had to make a adapter for the d/s head, bolts did not line up.

What year and casting number are the heads you used?

Can't remember on a a/c, believe I left one bracket off.

Have at it and if you run into an issue let me know, I have tons of Pontiac brackets .

I believe shotgun is correct. You may be better off finding brackets off a 350 or 400 just to make it easier on yourself. (Shotgun were you on Classical Pontiac?)

All accessory brackets will swap between the pontiac V8s (~68+) The only difference is that some heads have different amounts of tapped holes in the front face depending on the year. The newer ones have more holes.

Thanks to mguerci for the diagrams! That will make it so much easier. We'll have to see on the heads, if they bolt up. I'm using 1970 GTO Ram Air III D-port heads. Casting #13. Shotgun thanks for the tips and If i need anything I'll let you know. The motor mount I called you about a few months back worked out perfect! Now if I could just find time to finish this thing!

Bonnewagon, I was on CP, lost my sign-in and kinda faded away.

mquerci. Not true, 301 stuff in different as well as some traditional stuff.

I make my living working on Pontiacs; Restore, race, repair.

Also have driven them for 30 years (ouch). My Cutlass is Pontiac powered.

Believe me , I did not make a custom bracket for the heck of it.

Fbody stuff of the same vintage would be a sure bet.
