i have an 85 el camino with the stock 305 engine with a 350 transmission. i found a lt1 engine that came from a 96 camaro. can i jus plug and play? or do i need 2 do any modifications at all?? please help i really would appreciate.

depends, I wouldnt spend the time doing the swap, a lot of guys do and they are happy with them, but its prob better just to find a regular 350 and stroke or etc. just because of tunning issues with any future mods if you not familear with efi, electric fuel pump, wiring, diferent cooling system, it flows reverse of a gen I sbc, etc etc etc. Lots of reasons just to leave it alone and go ls haha, or gen I oh, plus parts are kinda more expensive. and I think oil pans are different.
Sscamino couldn't of worded it any better hahahaha. The lt1 is a good motor with good power when running good but parts expensive and if u don't know them then don't try them. It will turn out to be a headache and more money then you want to spend.
