Did the 307 come with a aluminum intake manifold, and does it work as good as the early intakes? Thanks. Bernhard

The code 9 307's did. Pre mid-1985's with 5A heads had 350 sized ports. Decent intake, but I'd get an Edelbrock intake if you can find one cheap.

A lot of 307s did.. EVEN the Y's they were called A4s.. referring to the ones with 350 ports.. the later crappy ported 307 intakes were labeled A5's... they were all aluminum..

some early 307s had iron 350 intakes..

olds scripted valve covers what years?

Thanks for the replys. What year did they use the olds script valve covers? Was there any olds engine that came with a aluminum water pump? Thanks. Bernhard

73-74 had the script valve covers and even some late '72 and early '75 built motors came with them too..
No aluminum WP's were used but aftermarkets are widely available.
