Doing a 307 to 403 engine swap in my son's '86 Cutlass.

The 403 intake manifold is missing 2 threaded ports in the cooling runner.

The 307 intake:

The 403 intake:

I am pretty sure the ported vacuum switch is for the AIR, which I am eliminating, therefore I don't need that one...correct?

The two on the left are the ones I have the most concern about.

1) What sensors are they exactly?

2) Does the CCC need both of them to operate properly, or can one be eliminated without causing issues, and, if so...which one is the most critical to keep and install in the only port I have on the 403 intake?

Thanks,

Jim

Most CCC cars have two temp sensors, one sensor is for the computer and one "sender" for either a temp gauge or a overheat warning light. The computer sensor is more critical since the ECM uses the temp sensor to know when to go from open loop to closed loop. The 403 intake looks like it has bosses for the ports, just they are not drilled and tapped.
