307 to 403

i bought a 403 and a th350 for my 83 cutlass, motor is clean so far on the teardown still need to check bearings..problem is the guy i bought it from said it was out of a 78? trans am.. how do i find out if its an olds or pontiac.. is there a good website to go to so i can decode it? also what ( exactly ) do i need to make swap from 200 to th350.. not interested in riging anything up, want to do it right

The Olds will have a large oil fill tube in front of the motor. The Pontiac will not.
