I understand wanting to be different but why not just go for the few extra cubes? You cant even tell a 327 from a 350 anyways.... So you would still look like everyone you're trying to be different from...

x2 they look exactly the same. Unless you put the factory decal on the air cleaner lid like I just did on my 400

Yea but the amount of hp it puts out stock. I kinda dont want to do no modifying right now. But I was thinking about going with a big block in the 78 monte. Wat yu think?

If u get a 327, get a 65 and below engine. They're the best IMO. Better crank, heads, etc. in stock form, many 327 would blow by a lot of 350s. The shorter stroke is why ppl like them. A 350 would be fine, plenty of power. A 72 and below 350 would be ideal compared to a late 70s smog motor, since ur wanting to do any mods. Just my 2 cents.

i am building a motor with the same number on it. thats a darn good block. its a early to mid 70s 350 4 bolt main hi nickle block... and i have a block and crank out of a 66 vette.... stock forged crank hipo

IT A 350 BLOCK 3970010 WAS A COMPLETELY NEW DESIGN FOR SMALL BLOCK ENGINE CASES. IT CAME INTO PRODUCTION SOMETIME IN LATE APRIL OR EARLY MAY OF 1969 AND WAS USED THROUGH 1975. IT WAS PRODUCED IN 2-AND 4-BOLTMAIN
