Traded into a good running 1967 330 olds. what parts will interchange with my 307 in my 86 regal ? Would this be a fairly simple swap ? The guy claims it has 310 HP.

The only thing you really need is the unique bolt pattern flex plate that goes with the desirable forged crank on the 330. Also use the intake and exhaust manifolds off the 330. I assume it is a 4 bbl. Everything else will swap right over.

It will bolt right in place of the 307, all olds small blocks will. Get away from the computer controls and run a regular carb and distributor. Don't reuse any engine parts off the 307, not worth it. But all the accessories and mounts will transfer over.

double check the accessories. they will bolt on, but i don't know if the belts will line up. i know they changed back then. but i don't remember if whether you had a long or short water pump, a production change at 67 to 68, or what. i swapped a 425 to a 455 and the water pump was different. but it was very long ago.

balancer is different between the two as well, have to use the 330's and hope its not ballooned like mine was and have to get a new one from damper dudes

also this was probably just mine, not sure really but when i took the valve covers off for a freshen up i ended up tearing the whole block down to de-lead the engine, the one i had bought sat for a considerable amount of time and left a thick grey paste that clogged the lifters, oil galleys, pushrod holes so on so forth so might be somethign to check before running it

This is out of a running 67 Cutlass with 80,000 miles. Sounded really good no smoke. A little rear main leak. But it will get new gaskets at the least. Also came with the Transmission which he said is a powerglide? But have heard it may be A Jetaway ?

But have heard it may be A Jetaway
olds did not a use a powerglide behind the 330 engines, only behind the inline chevy 6.
yes, it is most likely a jetaway trans, turbo 300? they usually have a switch pitch converter that is activated by a switch on the carb linkage.
