hello fellow gm lovers i am asking for opinions and options on exhaust. I am looking for a good street performance setup which includes new headers exhaust size and the almighty question whether to go single or dual. The application is a 1988 chevy caprice that will be lifted to accomodate 24 to 26 inch rims if that helps in exhaust size routing. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated 😀 😀 😀

With luck, you live outside Emission Land, so you can go with true duals and no cat. Jegs sells G-body header and dual kits you may be able to modify to work with your B body. You'll need a dual-hump crossmember (may have to modify yours - the G-body frame is narrower). With the extra lift, ground clearance won't be an issue. Many more options for headers in the bigger car with an automatic trans. Also, look int a company called Torque Tech - a 73-77 A-body kit may be able to be fit udner a B-body.

Of course, there is a link at the bottom of the page for the B-body Forum.

link to b-body forum is at the bottom of this page... but pypes makes a pretty nice stainless steel 2.5" dual exhaust with the x pipe... depending what kind of sound you are looking for, there are a few dozen mufflers to choose from... flowmasters series 40's are pretty common, not too loud, not too quiet, nice rumble... i am going to swap mine out for a set of the series 44's to make my car a little louder, and i might ditch the xpipe too, havent decided yet... you can find some really good deals on ebay for headers, exhaust, mufflers, etc

hey guys so m trying to figure out if headers of a 97 camaro ls1
