great find but my concern is it has no fluids in it due to the sand/kitty litter everywhere but hey you dont have to drain any to change it i would just make sure it turns over if it has oil in it other then that looks like a great core
 
you can get a borescope camera for about $30 that you can use with your laptop and take a look at the internals of the engine
 
As the add says it's salvage. It hasn't run in over 30 years, oil and or trans pan has probably rusted hence the oil. I wouldn't touch it unless it was apart to see and I'm afraid of what you would find. $400.00???
 
Yeah I know but hey sometimes you get lucky. I would have to see it in person... I have to make time and go see it if it's worth it..

I never knew they were that cheap.. I wouldn't know where to look for one. Is it a common item you can get at a parts store or just order online?
