81 isn't a G-body and still didn't have the 307 .... only V-8s were the 260 and the diesel.

when I bought my regal, the guy selling it to me was told(from the guy he bought it from) that it was a 350 in it.... I didn't think much since the trans was a 700r4, and an the v-6 to boat anchor mod was already done... I had thought it was a bit of a dog for a 350, but it kept am s-10 extreme on my quarter panel one night.... It wasn't till I was pulling it for the 327 swap that I noticed it was a 305.... for $400 and 2 years as a extremely dependable DD, I couldn't be upset!
thanks man. i saw your posting about your "dragon". so cliche hahaha. but to the guy who said gbodies never came with gas 350's, if you were trying to infer my discovery was wrong, i actually found one day that my monte had a 4.3 in it so it was obvisously a swap.

how is an 81 NOT a Gbody ?
I Bought 4 Chevy El Caminos Back In 2007 Years 78-87, When I Was 17 Also. Was Told The 1987 Ekly I Would Eventually Use Had A SBC 350 In It... Well This Past Winter I Pulled The Motor And Trasmission And Found That Both Had Been Swapped Into The Car... The Motor Was A SBC 307 2 Bbl and The Trans Was a TH350. Ran Good For 2 Years, But Had To Go To Make Room For Some Bigger Cubic Inches! G Bodies Are The Way To Go!
