Thats a steal I would say.

Your getting a running motor thats worth $400-$500.

The TPI intake system is worth in the ballpark of $300

Youve got a $300 Serpentine setup

And a $200-$300 computer, harness, and sensors.

O and if you do go for it try to get a speed density engine and harness.

Why a speed density?? I read somewhere about the MAF system is better??

Hmm maybe I'm on crack but I could have sworn that speed density was 91-92 cars only and was an upgrade for earlier TPI cars because the MAF can be a restriction.

MAF systems respond better to modifications. The MAF sensor can be a restriction but it takes a heavily modified engine to get there.

Speed density systems eliminate the MAF but are less forgiving as far as modifications go. It may not have been an upgrade as much as it was a cost saving measure, as MAF sensors cost more than MAP sensors.

Both systems are available inexpensively but suck compared to the current aftermarket engine management systems such as those available from Holley or F.A.S.T, for example.

So MAF would be the way to go because I would like to upgrade it later on

If you think you will be making changes as time and money allow, go MAF.

If you have all your mods planned out and are going to do it once, get it programmed and leave it alone after it is installed, go speed density.

I run an 89 MAF system on a modified small block. I made lots of changes to it over a period of several years and the system adapted fairly well.

Okay as far as converting to TPI all I need is the fuel injected 4.3 monte gas tank with the pump
and everythign in the link in my post on the top???

The lines will work correctly. Now whether the TBI pump that the 4.3 unit will have stock puts out enough fuel pressure I'm not sure. Dig into parts numbers on like Advanced website for a 4.3 monte vs a 5.7 camaro and see if just the pump is the same part number.

The pump will go right into the 4.3 tank/sending unit though.

The TBI injections runs on 12-15psi and the TPI runs on like 45 or 50psi if I remember correctly.
