cam bearings have a chamfer on the outside edges to make it easier to start hammering them into the block. i use a long driver and a hammer to install cam bearings. i like to line the oil holes up with the oil holes in the mains. blow out any chips with shop air and test fit camshaft dry. should turn very freely by hand. good luck
