383 Stroker

I am wanting to put a 383 stroker in my 87 El Camino. Anyone out there have any suggestions on the best to buy a 383 crate motor? I think I want to get the engine as complete as possible or if any of you have any ideas, I'd be glad to hear them.

i would check with some of your local shops alot of the time they can build you a better more powerful engine for the same or less money than the crate engine. and the hp numbers the crate engines come with arent gonna be the same when it is in your car unless you buy a $1000 set of headers and kick *ss carb or injection under optimun conditions. and that way you get to pick what goes in it 🙂
