Should I buy a Buick 350 trans? I don’t want to do all that modifications

What?

I'm confused. That looks like an Oldsmobile engine. I'm only familiar with the Chevrolet 383.
If that's the correct picture, and it's an Oldsmobile engine, a "Buick" TH350 automatic trans should work with it since Buick, Olds, and Pontiac all shared the same bolt pattern.

I agree...pretty blurred pic. Can't make out t-housing or oil fill tube, intake sure looks like an olds.

Yes it’s a olds 350

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. If your engine is an Olds 350 then the TH400 you got from the Olds will bolt up. If you are planning on using it you will need a different crosmember, and drive shaft with the bigger yoke that is the proper lenght. Neither is overly expensive, but still a pain to have to deal with.

If you decide to go with a TH350 trans then you can reuse the stock crosmember and drive shaft, but you probably want to change them anyway. The stock crosmember makes it difficult to run dual exhaust, and the stock drive shaft for a V6 car was never intended to take the abuse of a V8.
