While I have my intake back off the engine to be re-powder coated, I was thinking about modifying it for 4 corner cooling. Basically running 5/8" water lines from the back of the intake to the front.
It's supposed to help with dead spots in the cooling system and figured it can't hurt.

However most of the guys I know that have done this have drag cars without heaters and such. Anyone know how this would effect my heater core if I just tapped into the passenger side line with a Tee fitting and ran that to the heater core?

Thanks,

Are you talking about the one that's supposed to run from the heater core to the back corner of the engine? If so, I would think it shouldn't affect anything. The hose running from the water pump to the core is where the coolant is coming from, so it will still get through the heater core.

Yes. With my aftermarket HVAC setup, the heater control valve is inside the passenger compartment behind the dash so I don't have one on the intake in that location. I have the heater hose running from the water pump to the bulkhead fitting on the firewall which in turn supplies coolant to the heater core inside. Then I would have another hose from the bulkhead fitting that would then Tee into the passenger side hose running from the back of the intake to the front.

I thought this would work but wanted to run it by everyone else to see if they saw a problem with it.

Thanks,

Before I would try this set up I would do a flow chart and map out the flow of the coolant in the system. Just to make sure that you don't have a low flow spot in the engine or black flow.
