4 Door Driver's Door Upper Hinge On 2 Door?

I bought a GM door spring compressor from my Cornwell tool dealer for 15.00 and it works good.. this is how i did mine.
Since my hinges were already off the car i put mine in a vise carefully as not to bend it, Then i used the tool to remove the spring.
Next i used a die grinder to grind down the tabs on the pin.
I used a air hammer with a blunt tip and pushed out the pin but i am sure sure you could use a regular hammer. I then chose correct bushings as the kit i got had regular and over sized bushings, i used the regular ones seeing as the hinge was in good shape. the bushings go in the holes, line up the hinges and pins and then you can usually slide the pin all the way. I used the air hammer to finish sliding it all the way in. The pin wedges itself against the hinge so it wont fall out. Its kind of hard though to finish driving it all the way but some persistence will get it done. Then i used the spring tool to put the spring back on. If your going to sand and primer the hinge i would do it before putting back together as it is easier when its apart, then you can paint it when its back together.

Well, I did it today. Spring compressor? Hah! I did it by the sheer force of my will! Well... that and a screwdriver. That took it out. Unfortunately, even my extremely strong will was not enough to put it back in. That took a little help from my valve spring compressor. Not much, just 1/4 in.
