I've had 4 7.5s die on me behind stock 305s and a 301. My current 7.5 is on it's 2nd rebuild, and I think it's starting to make funny sounds too. And it too is backed by a stock 305.
I wish I would have known about the 8.5s and all the different aftermarket ones before I wasted thousands of dollars on these 7.5s.
