Hey guys, I bought a 86 442 parts car that sat in a barn for 10 years. The parts are for my 85 cutlass supreme. I have the 442 almost completely in pieces. The 442 was a high option T-top car, with power windows/locks and 3:73 posi rear. So I removed the top from the winshield up. Now all thats left of the car is the bottom half of the empty shell and the frame with the steering components. I was going to remove the rest of the shell and steering, and keep the frame as a spare. Does this seem worth doing or are frames easy to come by and will it be a waste of time? Is the frame worth anything, the car only had 54,000 miles and sat? Any info would be appreciated. thanks

Depending where you at GOOD frames are very hard to find.

I think it depends on where you live.In my part of the country,a G body frame in any kind of shape is a rare find.In other parts of the country, they may be easier to find. But,no matter where you live, the day will come when they are gonna be hard to find anywheres.I say keep it

Having a spare frame is nice. You can clean and paint it, build the suspension, and run all new lines while still enjoying your car. And when you get a spare weekend, swap the body over and be miles ahead on the frame-off that is coming

The body was bad. The floors where rusted through, and the rear tires could be seen through the truck. The rear quarters had multiple dents.
