442 with Vinyl Top

Did 442 really come with a vinyl top or this a clone

I am pretty sure that you could not order a 442 with a vinyl top,
everything else looks right, and who knows, someone could have the vinyl done afterwards
send the vin to GM and for 50 bucks the can tell you for sure


Call 800-222-1020 (GM) and ask for a "restoration packet" for your car. Have your VIN number and mailing address

No 442 I've ever seen has had a vinyl top, it was not an option for the 442.

On the other hand, if somebody really wanted it, the dealership could have very easily added it.

You have to figure they made it so that you couldn't order a vinyl top on a 442 for a reason...
