454 motor info help

i seen this 454 motor on craigslist for $400 it runs also i ask the guy what did it come out of he said he didnt know bout he gave me this number off the engine numbers are 14015445 im think bout getting it and rebuild it but i want to know some info bout it **********also is this a good deal for a 454 for rebuild

Looks like a TBI 87-95 motor to me. 400 is a pretty good deal if it's running and he's giving you the computer. If you plan to run it like it is, you'll have to upgrade to an electric fuel pump because TBI's need more pressure than a carb.

You could also rebuild it and convert it to a carb, alls you'd need is a 87 and up compatible intake, carb and an HEI distributor.
