The first important question for us to ask, is "what are you trying to do?"

Do you have the engine in and you are looking for exhaust options or are you tired of the super comp headers scraping on stuff?

What mods have been done on your engine and/or car?

This will help with the advice that you get...

455 in 78 cutlass

the motor is bored 30 over the mains and heads are studded it is all balanced complete roller i am ru nning it in the street and i want some headers that wont rub the tires when i am turnin

Well, those headers are 700 bucks from Dick Miller racing. They fit 78-88 rwd Cutlass with Big Block and all header tubes are inside the frame and do not require modding the inner fenderwell.

DMR-6827 are the 1 7/8" primaries
DMR-6829 are the 2" primaries

Expensive, but worth it when you see the engineering that went into them.

They are also available with the raised roof exhaust port for aluminum heads.

The fact that they are contained within the frame rails is pretty nice, but that price...

If it's that big of a deal, I'd run a repro set of the W-30 style manifolds and call it done.

I have the Hooker super comps on my 455, and though I haven't done it yet, I'm just going to build a set of steering stops to keep the tires from rubbing them the tubes.
