So when I got my cutlass it had a hack-job olds 350 in it with two spun bearings and a exploded lifter(it still ran like a god damn top) but it fit. When I started looking for a new motor I found a 455 out of a GMC motor home for 200$. when i got it home it got some love and a new set of gaskets and a 850 cfm Quadrajet BUT the alternator bracket and flex fan doesn't clear the hood. I started investigating and the body side motor mounts seem a little tall and the brand new motor mount only fits on one side. So i was wondering are these 307 or 260 v6 mounts and what can I take the shortest mounts off of, I heard talk of omega frame pads? Heres some pics http://i.imgur.com/NPxnU.jpg And heres a video of it and it starting and idling

You need 307 frame pads and engine mounts.

Maybe the previous owner installed different frame pads?

I've seen that before.....Those look like the buick v6 pads to me, like FE3X said get the correct pads either from a olds equipped g body or b body (260, 307, 350, 403), don't mix up lefft and right.

The car was originally a v6 so I guess the pads never got changed. I'm going to go down to pullapart this weekend and I'll pick a set up then. Does anyone have a picture of the 307 mounts for reference?
