Ok so I'm thinking about revamping my previously revamped stereo system...

At the moment I have a set of 3.5" Kickers, and a set of 4x10" Kickers... I'd like to replace them with a set of 5 1/4's and 2" tweeters in Q-Logic kick panels, a new set of 3.5's in the dash, and a set of 6x9's with adapters under the rear deck...

What would you recomend for a brand though? I like Kicker, what about Eclipse? or Infinity? not loooking for anything crazy expensive, just nice clean afforadable sound...

Also what would you recomend for an amp to run 'em through?

I would look around Pioneer, Kicker, and JL Audio. Infinity is nice as well. No issues there. It is just really a matter of budget and what you prefer. I have the same setup in my car with the Kicer dash and rear deck and I am pretty happy with that. Got 2 10" JL subs in the back and man, I got high quality music.
As for amps, Kicker and JL again, but of course, Pioneer, Sony is decent, again, depending on buget.

How often is someone in your back seat?

I would suggest removing any rear speakers in the back deck and going with subs in the trunk. Leave the rear deck speakers out and that will allow the bass to travel thru to the cab of the car. If you have folks in the back from time to time do a good set of 5 1/4 in the rear side panel area.

You always want the best sound up front closer to the driver so here's a good set up.

3 1/2's in dash
Q forms with 6 1/2'S AND Tweets
2 10 subs.

Im sure you would be happy with about 150-200 per side going to those q forms with good quality speakers.

HTH,
J
