7.625 rear end swap

Hey All,
So I'm about to pick up a 3.73 posi 7.625 out of an 85 monte Carlo ss and wanted to know if it would be a direct bolt in, in place of the factory 7.5. Thanks.

Btw the vehicle is a 1985 cutlass supreme

I'm thinking both should be 7.5. If you are talking about the whole housing then they should be the same. Depending on your current gear you will need to make a change to the speedo gear in the transmission to correct the speed.

I'm talking out swapping the entire rear end...

x2...Should be a direct swap. Just have to change the speedo gear.
