rear defrost wire cut

Looking to put back together my interior and noticed the rear defrost purple wire was cut. Not sure why a prior owner would cut it. I am going to join it back, is there anything I should be concerned about?

I'd double check the switch and other wiring first to guarantee it wasn't cut due to a short, but I can't see other issues.

Looks like mine, except not cut.

It's like a 12 ga wire (thick) so join it well so it doesn't get hot with the amps.

Solder and heat shrink.
